forms of practice (injunctions)
Similar to practices, training
and experiences. Injunctions are experiences, practices and training as a means to an end (such as working for money) or more of an end in itself (such as dancing). How your energy is spent will affect your constitution (or attributes) and it is for this reason that we should choose what we do carefully (which injunctions) and also should be careful as to how we do them (the way) click an injunctions title to go to its main page |

gratitude practice
For gratitude to be effective it must be authentic, in other words, you must believe it with more then just the mind. Start with truth no matter how small. If there is nothing to be grateful for, then what could someone else be grateful for. What is possible? Is it possible to be grateful for the past (all of it?)
This causes satisfaction with the present. Then just add some hope for the future and you have something beautiful.

the kettlebell: training practical muscles
By their nature, typical kettlebell exercises build strength and endurance, particularly in the lower back, legs, and shoulders, and increase grip strength. The basic movements, such as the swing, snatch, and the clean and jerk, engage the entire body at once. and in a way that mimics real world activities such as shoveling or farm work.
Unlike the exercises with dumbbells or barbells, kettlebell exercises often involve large numbers of repetitions. Kettlebell exercises are in their nature holistic; therefore they work several muscles simultaneously and may be repeated continuously for several minutes or with short breaks. This combination makes the exercise partially aerobic and more similar to High-intensity interval training rather than to traditional weight lifting. In one study, kettlebell enthusiasts performing a 20 minute snatch workout were measured to burn, on average, 13.6 calories/minute aerobically and 6.6 calories/minute anaerobically during the entire workout - "equivalent to running a 6-minute mile pace"
- from wikipedia
What I love about kettlebells are always trying to beat my max rep, it takes enough attention that your not thnking whilst doing the swing, you and the kettlebell are one.

meditation - from doing to being
mirror meditation
compassion meditation: expanding our identity and care (tonglen)
This practice involves expanding ones center of identity slowly by first realizing the truth for all beings that life contains suffering. As such we all equally deserve compassion for our suffering including from ourselves.
The practice then consists of sitting and calming down the body and breath.
Think of someone very close to you who you know is suffering or suffered and breath in their suffering. in your body on the hold of the breath change it to freedom from suffering, and on the exhale return this freedom to them.
In time expand your care from this person to friends, family, people who you care about, eventually until everyone and eventually everything is included. Note your capacity to transform suffering for self and others is useful at other times too.
While transforming the suffering of your area, city, the world or universe notice one persons suffering who you experience personally. Your own. You too deserve compassion, feel the compassion for yourself and from the world then transform your own suffering. It helps me alot to use hand gestures, the more embodied the better.
This practice expands identity, by relating to everyone you can take their perspective and realize that that does not change. It generates love and compassion. Relieves suffering. Could probably change beliefs, will and/or values?

mind mapping
Make a map of; show or establish the features or details of elements of ones mind and understand how they interconnect (done through multiple mind maps)
mirroring - imitate those worth imitation
Primary lines worked: Identity, values, beliefs
male and female role models
male and female role models
psychomagic - belief and symbolism
magick emphasizes the practical use of belief systems by having a ritual done so that the experience of the ritual serves as a reference or reason to further believe whatever was chosen to be affirmed. Thus magick probably works really well with affirmations.
and also strengthens possibly will, identity,

questions
questions are a powerful resource to developing reason, references, changing beliefs, understanding, concentration, memory, discovering purpose, discovering spirit (prayer) etc
reading
I figure if I am going to do this then it might as well be recorded and turned into audiobooks. On that note this site will become a book which will become an audiobook or vise versa.

super mega ultra affirmation rap
Create a big up rap song about yourself, throwing in ideals, who you want to be (identity), beliefs, state changers (like gratitude), focus on wholeness. refine the beautiful poem often, memorize its current forms, speak it with heart, in front of a mirror, embodied.
surya namaskar (reverance to the sun)
also known as sun salutations, the quality of my sun salutation range drasticly. From enjoyable to painful, they can be very uplifting, sometimes I can do 0 sometimes 60.
How do they differ so? Calm synchronized breathing, slow and fast.
Some possible variables could include: how much I want to do them, how i decide to do them, what I believe about them, the value I associate with them, awareness of the importance of the way in which I do them, the speed at which I do them, the level of concentration, the intention, if I need to do them, want to do them or both. Any symbolic interpretation applied to the practice. The more I put in, probably the more I get out. Is there authentic gratitude for the sun? a sense of duty?
Pride in the movements? Gratitude in the opportunity? Excitement? What is my attitude towards the practice? Have I been waiting 10 years for this exact moment or do I wish it were over before it begun?
As we sweep our arms up and bow forward, we honor the earth, the heavens, and all of life in between that is nourished by the breath cycle," he says. "As we lower our bodies, we connect with the earth. As we rise up from the earth, we stretch through the atmosphere once more, reaching for the sky. As we bring our hands together in Namaste, we gather the space of the heavens back into our heart and breath, acknowledging that our body forms the center point between heaven and earth."
The definition, the devotion infused.

writing
on intention and consequence
also the yearly review (wholeness) and planning (partness) B-DAY exercise
Holonic theory applied to intention and consequence tied with birthdays,
so you look back on the past year as your most recent part added to your life, check out what parts your happy with and what parts you would change then you plan the next year.
Arthlur Koestler takes credit for the concept of a holon, which is something that is both a whole and simultaenously a part of another whole. It can be applied to anything we know. My favorite is seeing a human as a whole consisting of parts, meant to live to do their purpose which is their part for the whole.
So for this injunction we will be looking upon time as a holon, where the past is a part of our everpresent whole present moment which is at the same time a part of the future whole.
So using this in a practical manner it is my birthday today and I am going to review my last year (consequence) and plan for my next one (intention). I am going to do this in my journal though ive started in a notepad today. I do it every year.
Note a dope concept that ties in this, that in this moment you are whole. Thinking of perfection, how could everything be only not perfect? The fact that atoms are still bonded together and that things are just a mass of dynamic energy is rediculous. We are complete yet still imperfect so we train. What is love but perfection? I am perfect. I am damn lovable. I am beautiful. I am good. I am true. These things are true, so I do believe them, if this is in my awareness then it is true until it is habit?
Some look back at their past imperfect with guilt or shame. Of course you seem pathetic back then, look how much youve grown. That perfect past is also an imperfect part of your present. So what? Did you learn the lesson? If not spend to explore it in thought and feeling. It is okay. Dont worry. Your still perfect now.
What attributes does this train? I would say it brings awareness of the time line, it connects time and values, strengthens will and repose, this practice can incorporate other practices in the process such as questions, affirmations, writing prayer, so you can mix and match practices with this meta-practice. Dope.
An example of steve pavlinas 20 ways exercise applied to the yearly review and planning. so 20 ways I could improve
but is bday writing a practice? this seems like a space for different forms.. but yet has shape?
this can also be done per injunction or daily, weekly, monthly etc practice

I have occasionly designed practices but while working on the attributes and injunctions for a while now I have to say my mind is starting to see everything as an injunction that trains some attribute : O

Rainbow Katas
sets of varying injunctions, I suppose katas are combos from 2-infinite injunctions (all actions are injunctions). Each of varying length and probably other factors. Is all of life a dance? (musical and bodily-kinesthetic) Example of Katas are karate katas, yoga forms and yoga nidra.
