21st Century Education (21CE)!
Until Feb 14th, I will be doing 4 things each day for at least an hour a piece:
Studying economics, meditating, working one area of intelligence and stretching.
My list of books for economics includes:
"What I didnt learn at school but wish I had"
this book as referred to "Rich dad, poor dad" and "Celestine Prophecy"
"Think and grow rich"
Ill try to sum it up.
This is a brief explanation of a 21st Century Education. I will improve this page till it is flawless because it is so important. Until then read, "What I didnt learn at school but wish I had"
This book isnt just about business, its very spiritual and it makes too much sense.
I will give you a copy of the book if you will read it!
According to the book there are 5 Major areas of a 21CE:
1. Emotional Intelligence - Unconscious Reaction vs Conscious Response
2. Financial Intelligence - Assets vs Liabilities
3. The Four Key Skills
(i) creative thinking
(ii) negotiating
(iii) communicating
(iv) marketing
4. Results, Purpose, Action (RPA)
5. Designing your life.
1. Emotional Intelligence
There are many ways to go about gaining control of yourself in stressful situations. The key is building the habit.
There are millions of ways of looking at every situation.
Here's an example:
When I was in elementary school, a handicapped student called me "a stupid loser" and put an L on their forehead to indicate that I was whatever they thought I was. Unfortunitly they put the L backwards using the wrong hand. Needless to say I did not get upset. I simply laughed at the situation. Why? Because who were they to call me stupid? They didnt know a single thing about me. So why would I get upset? That would have been a terrible waste of time and energy. I simply continued what I was doing. To have wasted time thinking about it afterwards and putting myself down could have ruined my day but that would have been rediculous. I wish everyone had a similar experience.
The thing is, everyone has. Im sure uve heard about how when people say something to you they are really saying to themselves... Well it is true, but not nessisarly directly. If someone calls me fat how self assured can they possibly be?
Think about someone who has infinite love for themselves, like Mother Teresa, she is a cup and she constantly pours love into herself. Because of this and her lack of greed the cup overflows and there is love flowing in all directions.
Some people have self love but its for the wrong reasons.
To love yourself because your "sexy" means when your 50 you wont love yourself. To love yourself cause your strong means when you break your leg you will get depressed and never heal.
To not love yourselves would only break down opportunities for you, would only attract negativity, would only waste your time then your going to have no problem.
Thus instead of filling your cup with the wrong love and then setting up walls so no one else can have it, understand that you are AMAZING! Life is simple. And when people say your stupid, they may be, and dont listen to stupid people.
If you think you have nothing. Smarten up! Research Stephen Hawkings. One of my heros/teachers.
If you have the internet and are reading this the you already have the opportunity to learn anything you want free of charge. Note though that knowledge has something to do with being something, but there is no need to be anything to impress others. If you fail at life you could be a Mother Teresa who gave everything away and got everything in return. I guarentee that is a enjoyable life.
The reason why people try to put you down is a way for them to boost themselves and its explained here.
2. Financial Intelligence
Basicly a house is seen as a Asset(Benefitical), not a liability(unbenefitical) but it explains how thats totally wrong. A house generally is an asset only for the banks who because of you owning the house only have to receive money from you as you pay it off. While you pay to fix it up etc.
He talks about gaining Good Debt instead of Bad Debt(car).
Its key to know the differences and gain assets through these 3 areas:
Business, property and shares. He calls them the "3 Pillars of Rich"
I dont know much about either so ill be back to this part.
3. The Four Key Skills
(i) creative thinking
Learning how to think for yourself. How to conquer challenges.
http://www.successconsciousness.com/index_000008.htm (creative visualization)
(ii) negotiating
Never taking no for an answer. EVER.
(iii) communicating
For this I recommend NLP, or "the art of seduction" or "the 48 laws of power"
(iv) marketing
How to take a idea or concept and communicate the message in a business format to the marketplace to make it a reality. I have no idea.
4. Results, Purpose, Action (RPA)
Being Result focues, purpose driven, and action oriented.
Result - What do I want? What result am I commited to achieving?
Purpose - Why are you doing what your doing? Why must you achieve it? What will it give you, emotionally, physically, and psychologically?
Action - What must I do in order to achieve this specific result?
